Test of Ghost pictures
Here are a few photos from my line dancing group, wher ei took photos on a slow shutter to see how it will react and what photos i will manage to get.
As you can see that most of the people within this photo have become invisible. How cool is that?
Here is a photo taken of the kids that were playing around in the other hall. To me this photo is so wiked, and im very pleased with myself and proud of these photos.
Exam Book
This book is all part of our exam which we get during our time at college. The exam is a set number of hours (ours being 30) in which we have to decide on an idea and create an outcome to show to an exam board. This time round our set subject was Local Identies…which i found quite hard to think of an idea, until I spoke with Claire who told me about my interest in the Fort Amherst could come in handy with this project. So it was decided, Fort Amherst was my subject and what I would make my outcome from / about. I’m very interested in the ‘Ghost’ tours and stories that get told and it annoys me to see that most of our history has been bulldozed to create flats and housing estates..so knowing that Fort Amherst is the only one still running it caught my eye.
I had a few ideas about what I wanted to achieve which was a Ghost photo. You can achieve this by creating a distorted image of yourself or someone else with you. This is made by opening the shutter for how long you want but keeping the aperture low. The aperture is the how much light is let through and the shutter speed controls how long its open for. So the bigger the number for the aperture the smaller the hole is.
You have to experiment with these photos as ts always a hit and miss. But after a lot of experimenting you will get the right settings you want to create the pictures you want. For me it was hard to take the photos myself and set everything in time for me to move around in the shot. The shutter was only open for 8 seconds but by the time i fired the shot it was too late for me to get into position and walk around. thats why I ended up asking my mum to fired on my command so I could walk around and get those perfect photos. After a while we ended up getting some brilliant photos and managed to Photoshop some together to create more of a ghostly feel to them.
I throughly enjoyed myself, and even though it was FREEZING there in the tunnels and a tad creepy, i found it quite relaxing and fun.
Here are a few photos of my book and my results:
This is my outfit which i made to wear whilst taking my photos at the Fort:
Here is where my photos will be taken at the Fort:
Now here is a few photos for you to see how my ghostly pictures turned out!

These are only a few photos because i dont want to spoil the whole thing, but hopefuly with all my hard work i will get good grades
