George Robert Letley

January 3, 2010 at 1:31 pm (George)

This page is all about my New little cousin George Robert Letley born on 27th January 2008 and the proud parents Uncle Darren and Auntie Jo.

George is their first baby, and it was nice for my grandad as there was a boy to carry out the Letley name.  Unlike his dad, George arrive early and took all of us by surprise, although being a tad small after a few weeks in hospital he was allowed home to his place in Derbyshire. These photos were arranged by Jo and Darren which was sent to all the family to show us all what the lil chappy looked like.

This was the little chap on 11th February … He looks so peaceful, i still want to know what they are dreaming about though. :]

These are the proud parents, Darren and Jo holding the little man. This was taken on 1st March 2008 when we visited them all for the first time after George was born. We went up for the weekend to see them and spent a couple of days with them all learning to get to know the new arrival.

This is us holding George. Firstly me then my mum and then the 3 generations…baby George, Uncle Darren and Grandad Allan. It was such a magical time there, and I throughly enjoyed holding my lil cousin…although i’m going to make him call me auntie, because i’ll never be one soo :D .

This was taken on 5th July 2008 when George started to become a little more interested in his surroundings, and ended up exploring on his rug at home…..How cute :]

George thanking us for his new bucket chair, which is a little on the big side but he’ll grow into it. We saw this chair in a local stationery store and we just couldn’t resist getting it for him, although it was a big palarva trying to find a blue one, but in the end we got it and there he is…( although he didn’t say thank you…that was all Darrens techno help haha)

Here’s a few of our favourite images of Geroge taken in November 2008. I Love the one of him asleep as the detailing it the photo itself is amazing. His now waitcoat was made by his mum..Jo..But it had started off as a jumper but the sleeves ended up being a tad too tight so she made it into a wasitcoat. Cute..

George got taken to visit his Great Nana Florence at her residential home up north and here’s the proud Great Nan holding her little Grandson. It was nice for us to see these photos of her with George as we hadn’t seen her in a year and it was nice to see her pleased and happy.

In October 2008 they came down to visit me for my 17th birthday. It ended up being Georges first ever sleep over at ours and he can ready for the event with his new tent to sleep in…and I must say it is amazing! Its pretty big for him at the moment but i can see him playing in there with all his toys when hes a little older.   This is of him playing in a box, becuase he wasnt sitting up, having him in this box with all his toys was okay for him. I used to be sat in a cardboard box with all my toys when i was younger…but before anyone asks i wasnt unatented..and nor was he.

We had a cute Christmas card from George showing off in his santa hat. He looks so cute and adorable.  we also had a poem in his Christmas card to us, which was composed on his behalf by his Daddy….:

My name is George Robert,

And I’m nearly one,

And this is my first chance

For some Christmas fun.

I sit and I wave,

I clap and I giggle,

Mummy gets cuddles,

And Daddy gets wriggles.

I have teeth up to five,

And a full head of hair.

Something which Dad says

Is really unfair!

I say “Dad Dad” and “Daddy”

To anything I see.

Which is delightful for some,

But not for Mummy!

So this little man

Is saying to you,

‘Good times this Christmas,

And all the year through.’

Isnt it sweet?!

These are a few photos taken at Xmas when George was down again, here busy with his presents. He eventually learned how to open them with a little help from me …:D

Here he got a walker from me and mum, as we though it would help him get on his feet and it also converts into a trike for when hes that little bit older. The other presents are from Nan and Grandad with all fancy wrapping that kept George very occupied haha.

Georges First Birthday!

Here’s a couple of photos of this little chap celebrating his first birthday when they popped down to see us. He had his very own birthday cake, although he was more interested in the candle and kept trying to grab it… Theres also him playing with his new presents, he really liked the wooden rings which we bought him although with the caterpillar and the alphbeat blocks. Since these photos were taken he’s up crawling and now having managed to put some weight on after being poorly, hes been stuffing things into the dvd player and hes into everything..

Fathers Day

Geore came down to visit us for Fathers day (21st June 2009). He’s well into walking now and pottered around at our house and over his Nan & Grandads without so much as a backwards glance! The day was lovely and hot …sunny for once and after being slathered in sun cream he wandered around in the garden and gazebo. Nan & Grandad bought him a special play mat that you can draw on with water filled pens which then leaves a blue ink mark, then drys up in the sun. It was so cool and we all ended up playing with it, probably more than George himself haha. As you can see above are some photos of him, loving the front “smile” from him, more like a growl..He loved his stacking bricks and so we knew what to get him for christmas this year haha.

This is Geroge on his trike and wearing what looks like his dads hat.

Looks like hes definately got the hang of it and will be charging around the living room borfore u can say ready steady go. Im very chuffed that the trike will last him a lil while yet, and it also comes with a trailer so he can ride around with his toys in the back. How cool is that?!

My Family

January 3, 2010 at 12:42 pm (My Family)

This is a photo taken at my Nan and Grandads house on Christmas Day 2007.

(Back row) Grandad, Nan, Me and Auntie Jo plus her bump :D

(Front Row) Uncle Darren, Mum, Nana Alice and Nana Florence.

This is a nice photo of us as

because shortly after christmas Nana Florence became ill with Dementia and had to be moved into a residential care home up near her son Paul, and Nana Alice has since passed away in 2009.

Here is our Cheeky Chap, George Robert, born 27th January 2008.

This photo was taken 2008′s christmas so then he was almost a year old. He is small for his age at the moment because he was a month early, but I know he will be just as tall as his dad sooner or later. He’s a real cutie though and although we don’t get to see them much, because they live up north, we do get bombarded with photos. :D

Here is my Uncle Darren (mums brother, Father of George^^)

This photo shows him at work, in his laboratory where he works at the Queens Medical Centre at Nottingham. He analyses gastric samples… i believe… and has published several medical papers and even contributed to a chapter in a medical book. He’s a very clever man and were all proud of him.

This is Uncle Darren and Auntie Jo when the graduated from Nottingham University. Both of them have since gone on to do PHDs so they are very brainy. haha. And old picture i know but there will be updates soon :D

Here is Nana Margaret and Grandad Allan. They got married in 1997 and i was their bridesmaid at 5 1/2 years old :D It was a Country and Western theme hence the outfits…ha. They are the best grandparents anyone could ask for and i love them dearly.

This here is my Beautiful mum. – Paula-. Although my mum and dad had split up when I was around 3 years old, she’s been there for me all this time. And not only is she my mum, but she’s like my beat friend and sister (because I don’t have any Bros or sisters…soo…). Shes the most caring, thoughtful, smart person i know and i love her soooo much! She loves her photography and computers, and works at BAE systems on the air fields …now as a planner but was a senior software  engineer for 25 years. She loves it even though its work so you got to hate it but shes in her element.

This is my Great Nana Florence on her 94th birthday in 2007. She usually get loads of flowers ( she loves her flowers and her garden..especially her roses)…but unfortunately she started to suffer from dementia and had to be moved up north to a care home were she could be looked after by professionals. Shes spent many years looking after me and was not only my nan but a dad in our relationship..as because mum was full-time working, nan used to look after me which means that nan and me are very close. It’s devastated us because we (me n mum) used to be her daily visitors but now that we sold her home and she’s moved, we don’t get to see her anymore. Now that I drive ive promised to go up there, but its hard for me, because I know if I don’t see her ill regret it but if I do I wont want to let her go. It’s a hard thing to deal with, but we get by. Thats why I now have my tattoo for her, which was done on my 18th birthday. There on my shoulder/back to protect me, and of a rose because they were her favorite…also with a personal touch adding her signature off our xmas cards underneath. This tattoo has been in my head for around 6 years, and when I finally got it done I was so chuffed. It’s there because although she’s still with us, she’s not here for me to see her, so by having it there i’ll always have a part of her with me. :D
